Agribusiness Incubation centre
Project objective: To offer a platform for startup agri business to grow while being trained on business literacy.
The key problems facing the agriculture sector in the county include; low value productivity, low value addition, inefficient farmer-to-market linkages, slow technology adoption and limited incentive to invest. Therefore, the development objective of the incubation centre is to provide conducive space for;
i) incubation of startup agribusiness entreprises aimed at generating additional farm income in high value markets with a potential for scaling up. By this way the project aims to give small holder farmers a chance to participate in high value agricultural markets domestically and internationally,
ii) Farmers trainings,
iii) Development and testing of innovative models for agricultural technology transfer and application.
The expected results oce the centre is up running include;
i) Increased competitiveness of the county's produce and products
ii) Efficient farm-to-markt linkages
iii) Rapid technology adoption and Incentives to invest in agribusiness
Will enable youths start business easily
Beneficiaries:The Incubation centre is expeceted to benefit atleast 100 direct beneficiaries each year by incubating their agribusinesss ideas and graduating them off to face the real market
