The Directorate Objectives:

1. County Irrigation development programme
2. Development and Management of small holder community irrigation schemes.
3. Capacity building anddevelopment of (irrigation water users association/WUAS for irrigation schemes).
4. Resource mobilization and funding for community irrigation schemes.
5. Provision of irrigation and support services (e.g. power, transport and rural access roads).
6. Dispute resolution and enforcement.
7. Water storage distribution , conveyance for irrigation development
8. Irrigation management and technology transfer issues.
9. Complement and maintenance of linkage mechanisms with  stakeholders  at county level  and National Government
