CS. Akide holds a Masters in Commerce Degree (Business Administration) obtained in 1994 and a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Mohanlal Sukhadia University (India). Further, she is a qualified Certified Public Secretary (K) awarded by the Institute of Certified Public Secretaries of Kenya (ICPS) in 2016. She has over fifteen (15) years proven hands on experience in Strategic Human Resource Management and Administration in various institutions. She has worked for The Aga Khan Foundation, Youth Enterprise Development Fund and German Doctors for Developing Countries. CS Akide has been exposed to Strategic Planning, HR Budget Design and Implementation, Policy Design and Implementation, Integrated HR Management and Benchmarking.
She has proven ability to work within and manage the stakeholder matrix within the public sector and dependent institutions. She has demonstrable ability to facilitate big picture strategic planning, collective bargaining agreements and internal and external stakeholder collaborations;
She has Experience in HR Planning, Employee Welfare, Reward Management, Learning and Development, Talent Acquisition and Retention.
She is also a certified Human Resource Professional CHRP (K) from College of Human Resource Management (2021). Holds a diploma in Human Resource Management from the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM). Holds a diploma in Microfinance from Strathmore University. Underwent a strategic Leadership Development program at Kenya school of Government (SLDP) 2015. She is a certified trustee who underwent a training on Trustee Development program in Kenya at the College of insurance in 2013.CS. Akide has attended several high level courses locally and internationally. Most recently she was awarded a Diploma in Contemporary Public Administration Management from Galiliee International Management Institute Israel in June 2023.
She received a certificate after attending a certificate course in the Role of labour Market Policy in poverty alleviation in Sweden. She further attained a diploma in the same course on the Role of labour Market policy in poverty alleviation in Sweden, sponsored by SIDA in 2013-2014.She has participated in the development of various polices such as the Human Resource Policy and Procedure Manual and Disability and Gender Policies. She participated in a program Women in leadership at Strathmore University Business School, Kenya, in 2013.Has attended various courses on Corporate Governance at the Centre of Corporate Governance in 2010 and 2014.
Currently she is undergoing a Diploma course in Psychology at the Tech Institute of Management.
