Ababu is auctioning ODM to Jubilee, says Ojaamong

Busia Governor Sospeter Ojaamong claimed on Friday that Orange Democratic Movement secretary general Ababu Namwamba was auctioning the party to Jubilee.
Speaking at Amaase Youth Polytechnic in Teso South during the launch of the Ngazi project in the county, Ojaamong said Ababu had become a broker for Jubilee gubernatorial candidates.
” The ODM top official was now walking with six aspirants for governor ” taking money from each of them” and selling the party’s secrets to them.
He will fry himself with his own oil for forsaking the party at the hour of need by supporting rival camp instead of marketing ODM ahead of 2017 general elections,” he said.
Referring to Ababu’s scathing attacks on him at his Okilidu village home last week, the Governor said the Budalangi MP had a myriad problems in his backyard which he should address instead trying to malign his administration.
Ojaamong said spreading falsehood that his administration had done nothing was petty politics which should be shunned by residents who are enjoying the fruits of devolution despite teething challenges.
” The constitution is very clear that the county government is headed by a governor and the National Government by President Uhuru Kenyatta. MPs seem to lack direction in discharging their mandate.
Instead of monitoring what Uhuru is doing with the 80 per cent budget retained by the National governments some MPs were only obsessed with county governments. We need to be told how much of the retained cash by Uhuru administration is trickling down to the grassroots,” he said.
