Busia MCA says his 40 years political journey has started

Amukura  Central  Ward  Member of the County Assembly in Busia County  Moses Pius Ouma aka Mose Baaba  has said  his vision for Kenya is to complete his 40-year political journey which started on August 8th.

Speaking at the burial of  Alfred  Taabu in Acunet village in his  Ward on Saturday,  the youngest MCA in Busia County Assembly at 25 years said  his focus is not on 2022  when he will seek his last term as MCA.

“My focus is on the 40 years I promised  you.  I want to serve for 10 years as MCA, 10 years as MP, 10 years as Governor and 10 years as the President of Kenya before I quit politics.

History will repeat itself. The elections coincided  with my birthday and I carried the day albeit with a paltry margin of three votes.  The realization of my 40-year vision will depend on my service delivery,” he said.

Mose, 25,   said he will not discriminate anybody during his five -year tenure as MCA. “I want to be like a mosquito which will not spare the child of the rich or the poor in ensuring they contract malaria.

My people of Acunet you gave me 16 votes but I am happy that  the votes helped me  beat my opponent by three votes. Although the voters of Kaliwa  where I was born gave me 370 votes I cannot favour them at your expense,” he said.

He promised to  consult the people of his ward  on their priority areas before implementing any project, adding that  he will not allow himself  to be surrounded  by a few people  in arriving at the needs of his people.

The out-going area MCA Patrick Ombo  said his defeat his not his  voters’  happiness. ” God has many things  in store for his people.

Pray  for  the new office bearers  so that they will not discriminate others. Both who voted for then and who didn’t are all our people. I will be back in 2022 seeking the Teso South MP seat,” he said.
