Burumba Member of the County Assembly in Matayos Constituency, Tony Onyango of ODM has denied social media reports that he had abandoned Busia Governor Sospeter Ojaamong.
Speaking on Friday when he accompanied Ojaamong to inspect Port Victoria- Referral Hospital- Tesia road which was being tarmacked, Onyango said he has come a long way with the Governor.
” Ojaamong is like my son. I am the one who made him join politics. Although he is now my senior I cannot abandon him. I will support him to the ballot to ensure he wins his second term.
I am also in ODM to stay. Those who think I have quit the party and abandoned the Governor are day dreamers,” he said.
Onyango also gave Senator Amos Wako an ultimatum to support the orange party candidates or he forgets his votes and ” we shall vote for a NASA candidate.”
The MCA also admitted that they rejected the Governor’s proposal to tarmac urban roads until all rural roads were opened up. ” We have now given him a nod to embark on tarmacking urban centre’s.”
