Busia Governor Sospeter Ojaamong on Friday closed the National Super Alliance County and Constituency Coordinators Training at the Farm View Hotel in Busia on behalf of presidential flag bearer Raila Odinga.
The three-day training attracted 122 participants from all sub counties in Western and Trans Nzoia regions. They will be used as trainer of trainees for NASA agents for the August 8th general elections.
The Governor thanked participants for sacrificing to lead the Coalition, adding that this is the only time we are sure of taking the presidential seat. “We have been courting for long but we are sure this time of winning the seat.”
He cautioned the agents against possible buying by Jubilee during the tallying and announcing the final tally of votes for the president at the constituency before transmitting it to the IEBC National Tallying Centre for the final National tally.
Ojaamong said Busia will deliver 300,000 plus votes for NASA and appealed for peace during and after the elections saying Busia is bigger than an individual. The participants vowed to deliver for NASA all seats across the region.
The National chairman of the board responsible for county and constituency coordination and agents, Joseph Simekha said the trainers will help to train and manage agents at constituency level and during the D-Day on August 8th.
” In the last two elections Raila lost not because he didn’t have support but because of what happened at the polling station and tally. At every polling station five people will be assigned to protect the votes,” he said.
